Rodolfo in La Bohème:

Dominic Natoli’s debut as Rodolfo in La Bohème was in 1999 in Fairfield Hall Croydon, UK. Subsequent performances have been with the Danish National Opera (Den Jyske Opera) in 2005 - a production which toured extensively throughout Denmark. He was also privileged to be invited to Ljusterö Opera Festival to perform Rodolfo in the Jussi Björling Centenary celebration presentation in 2011.

Reviews:

“A good lyric-dramatic tenor is very rare and DN as Rodolfo is as ideal as one could hope for… a delightful genuine Italian tenor sound – free and cultivated”

Politiken Jan Jacoby

“This Boheme surpasses the more extravagant production staged by DJO in 2003 with Alagna and Gheorgiu, with DN singing beautifully as Rodolfo”

Kjerteminde Avis U.P.

“Puccini’s music is superb and it works so well here because it is sung so wonderfully by DN – a real Puccini tenor with a glowing core to the voice”

Aarhus Stiftstidende Ole Staarup

“DJO has found a tenor, Australian DN, with great warmth and Italianate timbre… one gets what one expects and much more”

Morgenavisen Jyllands-Posten John Christiansen

“DN, is a real Italianate tenor with all the heart and anguish required.”
